Your First Visit with Children
Children of all ages are always welcome to attend the worship service with their families.
Religious Education (RE) classes for preschoolers through high school run concurrently in the RE Building with the 11:15 a.m. Sunday service in the sanctuary. See About Religious Education (RE).
Plan to arrive at the main building fifteen minutes before service begins, to allow time to find the special Family Greeter who will take you and your children on a brief tour and explain where each child would go as the Sunday programs begin at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Please fill out an "RE Visitor Information Card," available from the Family Greeter or the Greeter, inside the front door to the Main Building.
Nursery care is available for both the 9:30 and the 11:15 services. Children four and under are welcomed into the Nursery across the hall from the sanctuary unless you want them to stay with you. If your child remains in the Nursery, you will be given a pager so that the nursery child care providers can page you if your young child needs your attention. At any time, you are welcome to sit in the foyer with your child, where audio from the worship service can be heard, or bring your child with you into the sanctuary. Please see Nursery and Child Care.
The school year at UUCV
Following the Labor Day weekend, religious education classes are offered for Preschool-12th Grade in the RE Building during the 11:15 a.m. Sunday Service. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers until about age 4 at both Services. Children in preschool and older attend the first 15 minutes in the sanctuary with their parents and the congregation before leaving with their teachers for their individual grade level classes in the nearby RE building. On occasion a special multi-generational or children's worship service takes the place of classes.
During the Summer
A multi-age program for children four to twelve is offered at the single 10:30 a.m. service starting Memorial Day Weekend. Nursery care is available.
