Adopt-A-Highway Team (aka "Litter Pickers"):
Picks up litter each month on the stretch of Highway 14 between SE 164th and 192nd Avenues. All who can walk a mile on uneven terrain are welcome to join this team of "highway hygienists." A sense of accomplishment and feeling of team spirit are guaranteed! (Must watch a training video prior to first outing.) Contact: AAH@uucvan.or

Attends to maintaining and enhancing the attractiveness of the church. Oversees the art in the sanctuary, soliciting community and UUCV artists to show work, mounting exhibits. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Manages a Fund that provides a lasting financial legacy for UUCV through bequests and donations of cash or other assets. (Participants on the Board are elected.) Contact: email@example.com.

Provides opportunities for UUCV families to interact socially while helping to make the world a better place through selected service projects in the community and at UUCV. The Team plans activities for approximately once each quarter. Contact: FIS@uucvan.org.
Oversees and creates fundraising events that support support the mission and ministry of our congregation (apart from the Annual Budget Drive). All fundraising activities must first be approved by this committee. Contact email@example.com.
Aims to boost environmental awareness and create a "Green Sanctuary" in which to worship, work, and live. Manages a "Beyond Curbside" Recycling and Reuse program. Under the direction of our Minister, this team offers care to the congregation in times of sorrow or celebration in the form of cards, calls, visits and meals. Congregants can be part of this pastoral ministry by joining the "meals team." Contact email@example.com.
Attracts, welcomes, and integrates newcomers into our community. Hosts social and educational gatherings for newcomers on the path to membership. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Plans and promotes events that support personal and spiritual growth through music making, active listening, and musical performance, and helps to grow a vital, nurturing community at UUCV through multi-generational participation in musical events. Contact: email@example.com.
Social Action Steering Committee:
Manages the coordination and approval of social action activities, and supports social action project leaders in their ministry. Contact: SASC@uucvan.org.
Cultivates a culture of abundance at UUCV and encourages spiritual growth and development in the congregation by providing opportunities for deepening generosity. This committee also organizes and conducts the Annual Pledge Campaign. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
